Sensei's Phil Winterbourne & Sam Birch host a two session 'Performance & Competition' standards for Kumite and Kata coaching course

Alongside these Performance coaching sessions, Sensei Frank Veselovsky will host the Referee & Judges Seminar for Referees, Judges, Trainee officials, Recorder/Timekeepers, Coaches and Shōtōkan Connect members who wish to take their Karate career into a new direction.

Preliminary Table of Events:

11:00 - 11:30: Registration
11:30 - 12:30: Kumite training & Referees/Judges theory on Kumite  
12:30 - 13:00: Kumite practice on 2 areas with Referees & Judges
13:00 - 14:00: Break
14:00 - 15:00: Kata training & Referees/Judges theory on Kata
15:00 - 15:30: Kata practice on 2 areas with Referees & Judges
15:30 - 16:00: Discussion/End of Course

Please note that those attending the Referees & Judges Seminars should wear official uniform as set out inthe Shōtōkan Connect Tournament Rules.  This is comprised of:

• A navy-blue blazer (where possible)
• A Shōtōkan Connect badge (if available)
• A white shirt
• A Shōtōkan Connect tie (if available)
• Grey trousers
• Black socks covering 2/3rd of the shin
• Black, soft (thin, low tread) sole shoes

As part of our efforts to maintain the quality and cleanliness of our tatami, we kindly request that all Referees & Judges course attendees wear black, soft (think, low tread) sole shoes. Please note that these shoes are to be worn exclusively indoors and should never be worn outdoors. This is essential to prevent any potential damage to the tatami surface. Alternatively you may go barefoot whilst on the tatami. 

Please note that the Referees & Judges Seminar potion of this event does not count towards the three course requirment for Karateka that have joined form another association and are looking to ratify they 3rd DAN or above grading qualification.
